I've got a 93 4X4 ranger,

I was under the impression that there is only one rear wheel bearing (the one you remove with a slide hammer). Is there another, i.e. an inner AND outer?

any help would be appreciate before i get under there!

You are correct. Just one bearing and seal outer. The carrier also has bearings but there should be no need to change them as long as you are not hearing any noise from the rearend.

yeah, have not been hearing any noise. The bearing is actually relatively new, but i am changing out a bent axle that i drove on for a good 400 miles before noticing.... Yeah i'm an idiot.

So i am just changing that one at the wheel just in case the axle damaged it.
