Has anyone tried this seal for the rear mains on the 2300 lima engines? I know it's meant for the later DOHC Duratech and would require drilling and tapping the block. I've heard some folks use it to stop rear main leaks but can't find anyone who's actually done it. My 2300 mini-stock engine uses the two piece seal and it's a bear to get sealed.

What year is your block? Any chance you could have it modified for the later one piece seal?

Rear main seal on mine is nice and tight but the front leaks like a bastard... I've replaced it three times and it just keeps coming back.

This is a race motor, small main in a large main block. The crank takes a two-piece seal. Just assembled and had one practice when it began leaking. Trying to keep from disassembling to machine the crank to make it compatible with a one-piece seal. My spare motor does take a one-piece seal. In fact, I run the Race Engineering offset seal that accounts for the groove that wears in them over the years. Several people have said they run the pictured seal but no one has been able to show me. Thought someone on here might be familiar with it.
