Interesting.. a Possum deflector, for the pumpkin?

Unless you plan on pounding the pumpkin on rocks or need it to slide over on rocks they're not worth it IMO. Same goes for axle trusses, if you're not jumping the vehicle or overloading it like people do with small trailers.

I seem to remember stumbling across something that addressed that. I can't remember where I saw it or that is was for the Ranger but I remember seeing it. It looked like you take the control arm bolt out, slide the guard in place, and reinstall the bolt. Kinda like a U-Channel type deal with a bolt hole.

It was real muddy and slide in a rut and couldn't crawl back out slide it right into a rock. Luckily nothing broke but made me decide I need something there and for the life of me I cant find anything. I'm building some sliders for it at the shop. I have access to metal fab shop so any design ideas would be awesome

Let me see if I can find anything in my saved links that might help me stumble across it again. It didn't really look all that complicated from what I remember.

EDIT: No luck on what I originally found. There are some much clunkier designs I ran across for Tacomas. You might want to look at those. The only thing I could find similar to what I was talking about was for the rear, lower shock mounts. Mostly on Jeeps.
