Rear suspension mod done with the exception of weldin the spring perches once I get the pinion angle set & get my new shackles......

Rear crossmember removed, notched rear frame horns, installed 2X4 tubin to rigid it up, and made shackle mounts out of black pipe that fit some bushings I found::icon_welder:

BUKOO room for Pro Street tires now::yahoo:

Done for now:

Are you going to gusset those shackle mount bushings on the frame horns? Or box them in somehow?

Don't plan too, as the are welded to 1/4" angle iron, and then the angle iron is welded to the rear crossmember.......

Installed my shackles today:

SURVEY SAYS: WHOLOTTA ROOM for more tire inside the wheelwell:yahoo:

But as most know with mods, things don't always go your way.......for my setup, I'm gonna have to fab up some shock mounts, as I can't use the original ones as expected....no biggy, AIN'T THE FIRST TIME!:icon_twisted:

I like it...so with the rat rod are you goin for a gasser look. It would be super cool to have an old gasser look to a ranger. Raise the front and put a straight axle under it??? Plus lots of room for fender well headers. Think about it! hahaha NICE F**KING RIDE!!

Well...........

Don't suppose you have a part number? I'm using Tundra springs. THey certainly have an arch to them, and I can get rid of blocks. By using a shackle mounted under the frame gives me some lift too. But I wanted the springs closer together to allow more travel at the wheels... At least, thats the current plan...

Looks like an awesome idea. How much is it going to pick up the rear running the springs like that? Considered doing it before myself
