IMO a lot of people just want the status symbol.more importantly....
its simplicity of this formula.
YOU....can do a much better job of building a high performance pickup then ford ever will for much less money.
most people are just stupid sheep and dont understand that. going to full race mustang auto x theres room for oem superiority in cost effective for some.
I wouldn't be surprised if the folks that bought the SRT10's, SS's and Lightnings have moved on as they have aged to the luxurious Big Horns, High Country's and King Ranches.
For performance trucks being bigger, heavier and less aerodynamic will always have a handicap vs a car with the same power. And fighting a very steep uphill battle for any kind of handling contest.
