I need to replace my windshield on my Ranger. I will be replacing it myself, is there a place to buy just windshields besides the salvage yards? Also when I do go through the menu when looking for a windshield it asks if I have supercab or crew cab? I did not know Ranger made a crew cab in 02? I cave the extended cab 4 door that is not considered a crew cab is it?

Honestly, get it done for you at a professional shop. It's only about $150 to get it done for you without even having insurance involved. I used to work in the automotive replacement glass industry, and it's really rare to pull off a non-gasketed, eurothaned on windshield without breaking it.

It's not considered a crew cab...crew cab would be 4 full size doors. You have an extended cab, and all 93+ ranger windshields are the same.

The hard part is getting the old one out, unless its a replacement then its a little easier. I took one out but its a real pita. It took me a few days...lol Its not worth it for the money.

i had to replace the one on my old chevy, i got one out of a local junkyard and had a friend that works at an auto glass place and to get out the good windshield he used what looked like a sawzall with a really short stroke and a flat chisel like blade to get through the sealant.....my window replacement= FREE!!! and it took about an hour.
it helps to know people.
