Hey guys I've found a good crate engine for my 94 ford ranger mud truck I would like to keep it 4wd and manual what transmission should I be looking for that won't have the Shifter to far back

First off, no need to create a new post for every question... no biggie but harder to keep things straight...

The easiest manual trans to keep close to factory locations is the M5OD-R2 out of a '97-03 F150 with a 4.2L V6, same bellhousing and a shifter location further back.
