ok, im still working on my 4.0 swap into my BII. I have ALL of the wiring and dash from a 91 explorer installed. my question is will the wiring from a ranger door plug in to the explorer harness? I have 89 BII XLT doors, and one plug is the same, but not the other. anyone ever tried this?

My thought is no they will not plug in.
A Ranger, the sister/brother vehicle to the Explorer, had wiring changes unique to themselves.

Best bet is going to be a hard wire rewire.
I will be adding power windows, mirrors and locks to my 03 Ranger EDGE soon and all of the wiring will be separated from the main harness and each will have its own power, accessory supplied though.

Get out the manuals and start comparing the schematics.

Luck to ya, take your time and it should work out.
