just makes me wonder.......why was she in the ranger?
she wanted to go to the video store and her car was buried under a foot of snow. She was from Texas and had never driven in the snow but grew up on a ranch with trucks......

so i drove her to the video store and wen we went back to the parking lot she beat me to the driver's door (it was like 5*F so I left the engine running) so I had to let her drive....... she broke some U-joints.....

it wan't a Ranger, it was an Explorer.

Speaking of dads, do not let them help on your projects! Haha, learned that the hard way.
QUOTE]

I respectfully disagree with you on that one. If you're dad knows more than you, ask him. You might learn something.

Don't ever let friends barrow your truck, espeaclly if it's your only vehicle. Tell the friend that you & the truck are a package deal. NO EXCEPTIONS! :icon_surprised:
This is very good advice. I will never loan out my truck again. It was towed back from a plywood run with a bent frame and a lot of dings (F-150). Either I drive or you can go rent a U-Haul! :annoyed:

Don't leave home without at least a few tie-downs or some rope in the truck. You never know when you have to haul something unexpectedly. You do have a truck afterall!

I know this from expeirance. The second day after I bought my Ranger, I ran into a friend at the local Best Buy. She was trying, without much luck, to load a 50" flat sceen into the back of her Jeep. I had my Ranger and offered to haul it home for her, as it was a surprize Christmas gift for her husband. I didn't have the straps, so I had to head over to the hardware stor to grab some. Since then, even though I have a bad cap, I still keep the straps handy.
