if you click on it (it opens the site then you can click it 2 more times to zoom in) and look closer you can see where the paints bubbled and cracked around the edges of the letters. if i cant find any new ones ill try to get all the junk smoothed out and repaint em

To remove the paint you can use the HD strength oven cleaner or drop it into a can of brake fluid. Let it sit for a while and it should just scrub right off.

Since I see your not worried about the Chrome it will likely peal off with the brake fluid.

i know brake fluid will eat the paint but will it affect the plastic at all?

Did you pull em off a ranger or were they in like a bin? cause they might be off of an older f150 with the ranger package?

well I couldn't find the ones like that but heres a page with just Custom on it...

I've used it a couple times to strip paint off old plastic models. It won't do anything to the plastic. Just make sure you wash it off good with warm soapy water.

They are off of rangers.

We have a 90 ranger custom on the lot right now, reg cab short box 4x4, manual transmission, manual transfercase, manual locks, manual windows, no tilt, no cruise, no air and rubber floors. As base as base model gets.

Nope. Car modeling hobby has done it for years. You can even you simple green and other cleaners. Just submerge them for bout a week. It will take everything off down to the base plastic. If it works on model kits it won't hurt the emblem.

You could sand blast them as well it will take the paint off and give a nice surface for paint to stick to.
