I have been doing a lot of looking into a 5.0l swap. From what I am seeing I plan to use an engine from a Crown Vic or Mercury GM. I want to keep my transfer case. I currently have the A4LD and a 1350. I want to use a C4. I understand that if I can get a C5 from an 83-85 RBV I can use the tail shaft and adapter and put them on a C4. This will keep my drive shafts the same lenght. Late 80s Mustang Vert mounts will mount the engine properly. I read something about using some mid 70's car exhaust manifolds?
My current set-up is an 88 BII with a 2.9l A4LD, 1350, SAS'ed with D44 leaf sprung front and AMC model 20 rear Locked both ends and sitting on 33's
Let me know if you see any errors in what I have found or have any inputs.
Thank you
Scott

Your driveshaft lenght will vary. When you get it together you'll have to see if they need to be altered.
