So basically I totaled my 98 and bought a 95 from the local scrapyard (they get driveable vehicles once in a while). My 98 was a Standard Cab XLT Flairside and the impact completely destroyed the cooling system and the drive side lights, but left the passenger side intact (it also bent the frame). My 95 is an Extended Cab XLT with a normal long bed. The main problem with it currently is that it was obviously damaged by an impact with some manor of animal. The headlight fixture is compltely destroyed, and the hood has a very minor bend directly above that but the bumper and turn signal below are unscathed. The windshield is also cracked from what I assume was a deer antler impact.
Basically my question is can I make the passenger headlight fixture fit onto my 95? It doesn't need to be perfect. I'm just trying to get the truck street legal while I wait for the correct fixture in the mail. I'm pretty sure if push came to shove I could secure the outer assembly with some sort of combo of adhesive, tape, and zip ties, but will the socket fit onto the new assembly?
