I've heard about that "glue". It is supposed to be better than welding and easier to work with. Like any job, experience is key. If your uncle does it all the time, I'd give him a chance. But sometimes it is hard doing business w/ family... if it doesn't work out, then what?

If you glue them on, won't it leave a seam? Hard to smooth over. I personally would just swap the panels. I like projects.

Ive heard glue panels are real popular on doors. It would probably be easier to blend a seam than your first weld.Lets face it it will never be worth much so if to can get it to dignity level cheaper it's probably the solution.

If you do glue, take lots of pics thru the whole process, and share please. I'd like to see that. List products and resources as well, if you don't mind. Never know when it could come in handy for some of us!

I saw this process used on Trucks when they did the segment called Second Chance Silverado. They used it to attach a new right side bed panel. Looked good too. I plan to use it the patch my fenders and see how it works. Sure looks easier than welding sheet metal. I'm trying to be better taking pics when I do things but I'm usually by myself and just keep on trucking until I'm done.
