So..

I got some tweeters. They claim they have built in crossovers, But in dont believe that.

My question is what capacitor should i use to cut bass out of a 150w tweeter.

i dont have a clue on microfarads and stuff like that.

If anyone could give me a hand, That would be greatly appreciated.

If its a piezo, then no crossover is necessary. For everything else a crossover is needed. For a single cap, a value between 6.8 to 5.6 microfarad should do well. Make sure that your using non-polar electrolytics.

If you want to build a better crossover, then use a 4.7 microfarad cap and a 0.1 milli-Henry coil across the tweeters speaker leads.

If you want something more let me know, this is one I built for a friend

For highs, a 4.7uF generally works. You should probably shoot for a non-polarised cap with at least a 25-50V rating.

Not mine, but here's a formula:

Highpass Filtering:
To determine the crossover frequency a certain amount of capacitance will give you, use the formula:

F = 0.159/(C x Rh)

Explanation of Terms:

C = is the capacitance value (in Farads) [1Farad = 1,000,000 uF]
Rh = is speaker impedance (usually 2, 4 or 8 ohms)
F = is the crossover frequency
