Thought Id share my current dealings with onlinetire.com.

I ordered some Toyo F4's for my ranger to go on the 17" mustang Boyd's I bought last year. I ordered on the 30th. on the 4th I called them because the money had been taken out on the 30th but no conformation email of shipping. I called online and asked them what was up was told that the tires I had ordered where not in stock and could not be located at any of their suppliers and the salesman forgot to LMK with an email.

SOOOOO we talked and changed the order to 4 Hankook H405's there was a small up charge so I told them to send me a paypal invoice to pay. I received the paypal invoice and paid it then went to bed. The next morning there was another invoice and the first had not been accepted. I canceled the new one and stopped payment on the first one then resubmitted the payment and it was accepted.

Today there was still no email about shipping my tires so I called again today the phones went to mailboxes that where full so I called the corporate headquarters and got a hold of a nice receptionist who personally walked my order number and info across the street to the manager of onlinetires. I received a call back from the manager about 5 minutes later and told me that by tomorrow morning shipping info should be in my in box as the tires went out today. We will see.

The prices are great very low and they have been in business along time but it appears to me that they have grown to fast and do not have the manpower to keep up with orders and even the phones. The manager told me that the mailboxes by noon are already full and they do not have time till the end of the day to respond to them.

I should have the tires in a few days which is good but the experience has not been stellar. From what I can tell they have one salesperson, one assistant and a manager that try to process a ton of orders each day.

all these companies that seem to not have enough man-power to handle all of their orders, yet no one is hiring. Houston, I think we have a problem.

post with an update when you get them. they do have good prices on the Toyo Open Country AT's i'm needing for my Kia Sportage.
I'm not sure what's funnier about that post, the fact that you own a sportage, or the fact that you are putting toyo open countries on it.

My gripe with Kia is their target market. I'm not saying anything about the OP, because I never met the guy in person, but just about every Kia owner I've ever known was kinda a dee-b.

That and the fact that for the first 10 years or so their cars literally fell apart at 50K.

All those korean built cars are crap. They still fall apart at 50K! I could go on and on about the engineering blunders but I won't. They make GM look good which says it all...

Yeah, everyone likes to bust on Ford because Daewoo bought their drive train designs from Ford and Daewoos are crap.

Those same people conveniently overlook the fact that their beloved and reliable escort uses that same design, Daewoo just used inferior parts.

toyo open countries overwhelmingly outperformed my firestone destination at's. and, they were nearly $30 less per tire! i've owned my last set of the destination's for sure!

and as for my kia, well, it is what it is. getting over 32mpg right off the showroom floor, all wheel drive, 100k warranty, and more user friendly with more features than the subaru forester it replaced. it's the family car and i have no complaints. it took me 5 years to put 50k on the subaru so this one will be fine. could have spent LOTS more for something equal from the US or Japan i guess, but why? the money i saved will be put to good use on my ranger!
