My credo
If you can't go through it or around it, then go over it.
wow ... this only comes up like every week .......

I have never seen an engine leak more oil because there was a switch to synthetic. I just had the valve covers off my Lincoln when I changed the the gaskets and the top end was clean enough to eat off of, no sludge ...... I am not the most reliable about changing the oil in that car...... I got 20,xxx miles on the royal purple 5w30 in it right now and its not yet dark.....

IMO on a daily driver synthetic oil and bypass filtration is worth the extra money.

it is made with parafin wax.. pretty much has a tendency to like to gum up and turn everything yellow. every engine i have seen that runs pennzoil like to have lower oil pressures than anything else. might just be me but idk. my friends 4.8 vortec had penzoil ran thru it since its first oil change and come to find that his excessive valve train noise was coming from clogged up oil passages. and this kid likes to change his oil every 3k on the dot.
Wrong, wrong, wrong.

The Pennzoil thing is a myth that's been spread around so long it's accepted as fact. Do a quick internet search and you'll find countless articles stating that ALL motor oils are made with paraffinitic base stocks. I just did some more reading about paraffin and "liquid paraffin" is just another name for mineral oil and it is petroleum based.
^^This. ALL oils are paraffin based. And it is NOT the same thing as paraffin wax.
