I am back with my same problem no start. I am not getting a flashing signal to the coil from the distributor, just like the pick up coil is fried again. Only had new distributor installed for a day and same problem. Any suggestions on what tp look for?
It was just a loose screw for me one time; but don't over tighten - the parts just need good contact.
Get a manual - or on-line source - that shows the test points and methods. These are very simple systems and should be easy to trouble shoot - If the screws are tight
