I bought one of these from my one buddy for 300 bucks and beat the crap out of it for 3 months, till i hit a pot hole and the passenger side strut mount ripped off. I don't know if y'all have real bad rust problems out your way but watch for rust on the core support, towers, running boards, floor pans and around the latch mechanism on the rear hatch. If you change the battery be ready to turn off the alarm by putting your key in the drivers side lock and turning it to the left. Also if its a manual reverse gear is VERY fragile so be careful. good luck.

nah we dont have rust issues here. i've been reading up on these cars and my brother is a volkswagen guy so i'm familiar with what to watch for. thanks for the heads up though.

eventually the headlights will be replaced with some euro ones and it will be going lower at some point with some either 16's or 17's but i'll decide once i get there. this car is fast lol
