My credo
the grey-t escape
i got the grill guard more for wildlife than anything else, have yet to take out a deer with it though.
i need to make or build a new rear bumper, had a weird rust line form this winter, when i sprayed it down at the car wash, it turned into a through-hole. ive noticed alot of doge trucks that have really bad rear bumper rust-through. my ranger is the first ranger ive sen with a rust-through though.

I love the grille gaurd. Been thinking of getting the one from JCwhitney. Just have yet to decide weather or not it will look alright on a street truck. These rangers have a helluva sturdy front bumper from my past experiences. Ive plowed through 3 deer in the year and a half I've had my license. Once at 75, and twice driving about 45. At 75 mph the only damage was a cracked grille, a smashed headlight, and a crack in the bugflector.

My bumper is a little bent downward from proving my truck is a little tank to my buddies. But It's nothing a little straighting cant fix.

Get you an old 50's caddy fin off the rear quarter and weld smack dab in the center of the bumper or build a custom ballmount to put it on itll look good too gives your truck that jet engine look :icon_thumby:

dont know if youre still lookin for bumper alternatives but if you can find a 4 to 6 inch length of C channel cut to length i cut off and welded stock brackets and it almost looks like a roll pan possibly weld a hitch and d rings to it, i just have the license plate attached and its shaped like the front bumper the front of a dump truck. looks real mean and is ridiculously solid, need a torch to cut c channel though.
