neutral safety switch

i am using a c4 transmission with a b&m sport shifter. in the instruction is says to remove and discard the switch. has anyone used this shifter and found a way to use the switch?

You aren't going to be able to use the stock switch. The shifter should contain the switches. Most likely you will recieve 1 switch with the shifter you will need a second for reverse lights. Reguardless the switch you need you can get them at radioshack. You will have to wire the harness from the factory stuff to the switches at the shifter. This is common practice for most aftermarket shifters. Really the only other alrernative is you can wire the neutral safety so it will start in any gear and the reverse lights on a switched power but its really not that hard to do it correctly.

What switch do you use for the backup lights?

My truck has never had them for as long as I have had it, it would be nice to get tem to work...
