If you need the nerf bars for steps, just make a set of steps out of thicker walled tubing. Brace them really well, and see if you can jack your truck up by them, if you can, viola, youve found what your looking for....

well I am not going to do any rock crawling. My truck it used for mostly on road driving, but some times I do light off-roading I would say on average I go wheeling once a month but I do a lot of driving in the snow.
Famous last words. LOL! Nerfs are junk for protection. If you even "rub" a stump, log or a rock you will total the nerf and if you are lucky, it won't take your door with it. They are very thin sheet metal tubes tied to the body mounts. They will make an OK step if you aren't too heavy. Not good for much else. Sliders are easy to fab. You can even buy some partially made (for less than the nerfs) and have some mounts fabbed for them.

I would really like a step and a slider all in one and I cant find anyone who makes that. Another thing is I don't have the tools to make it myself, so I don't know what to do.

Where are you located, there are several members that are able to fabricate stuff like that, as well as a few shops around....

They have a tendency to just cave in because of how thin of material they are made of.
