Hello again,

I was trying to change the rear brake shoes on my 2000 ranger 2wd, and could not get the drivers side drum off.:icon_confused::sad: I retracted the brake adjuster all the way in, I used a small flashlight and looked in through the dust boot for the adjuster and verified that it was retracted. Drum would not even budge! It tried tapping all around it with hammer, beat on it with hammer, nothing!:dunno:

I've never had this problem before. After I've retracted the adjuster in the past, the drum has always slid right off. I don't want to have to cut the drum off, but I will if necessary.:annoyed:

Please help! Any and all ideas will be much appreciated!

Whack it around the wheel studs. That should loosen up some of the rust. Also, penetrating fluid works wonders.
