Need a owners manual

For a old school alpine cd player. I bought it new in 2000, and 23 years later I am unable to find it anywhere. I lost mine in a move around 7 years ago. Called alpine and nothing. Thier parts supplier and nothing. Looked all over online and still nothing. Been doing this for a few years. I need one for some reference points I don't remember how to do.

Does anybody know where I can obtain one? I'm am old school audio guru from the early 80's..I have gone thru some resources and nothing. If anyone can help I would be grateful.

Check Youtube there are some posts you might find one that helps.
I take it this was not a stock oem unit because if so the directions would be in the truck's owner's manual almost for sure.

Definitely not a stock cd player.

Not rare, well maybe a little. Its alpine's best deck they ever made. These are highly sought after as the reputation it has in the audio world. The owners manual used to be available, apparently the manual is important also. After 23 years I can't get rid of it.

I seen them on ebay (with manuals) for 700 bucks. Why i was curious

Appreciate your looking into it. The ones on there are mainly j or jg versions. All of are made in Japan, the straight 7949 is the usa version. I asked a few sellers about them and they have refused to help me with a copy.

You -might- get one if you are willing to pay for it and download the special app to get it but I've always been leery of that.
There are sound system forums. In a quick search the other day I saw lots of postings about it unfortunately they were mainly looking for the manual also.
Don't know why someone wouldn't copy it for you that seems easy enough to do.

probably because the manuals alone are worth 200 bucks

sounds like a ripoff
ought to be more camaraderie amongst the owners that just aint right
I know one thing if I had one I'd copy it for 200!!
