oh haha ya that makes sense.

but i see your point when it comes to putting subs in the back. you cant have the best of both worlds. either carry passengers or have subs. my set up worked. hook up the bazooka tube and dont mount it to the floor. and if you need to carry passengers, just unhook the wire harness and place the tube in the bed for the moment.

...and with my past experience....try not to drive like an asshole as your sub may take flight lol

What kind of Bazooka and amp. do you have? I'm thinking about using the same setup so I can use the back. How's the bass?

well. i had the 10" bazooka tube that was self powered, pushing a weak 100 watts.

a year ago i said screw that...wasnt enough for me.

now i have a 10" kicker comp in that tube with an external kicker amp pushin 200 watts. hits NICE for 200 watts. perfect for a non competition system. enough bump to where i cant see shit when looking into my side or rear mirrors

id say that if you were to buy the bazooka tube that is self powered and pushes 200 watts. that would be the best deal for a system

my friend followed my idea. he used the same bazooka tube with the original sub, and hooked up an external punch 200 watt amp. and it still sounded great. my kicker speaker hits slightly harder, but any external amp sounds better than their internal amp. those things suck

bazooka tubes are garbage, while I'm sure you'll find people that will tell you otherwise they probably upgraded from sony xplodes. Anyone in the know or ever people with a small idea will tell you the same thing I am.

I installed one in a friends Escort back in the 80's and it sounded tight and with punch, not boomy.I'm a Jazz man so I don't need bass that will blow my roof off.
