I looked up Powder Coating in my area. I'm probably going to take my front knuckles to get sand blasted

I don't really feel like grinding on those, that would take forever.
$90/hour for blasting, half hour minimum. Shouldn't take long for them to blast the knuckles.

Holy hell it's hot

Removed ebrake, and rear sway bar.
Used a leaf blower to clean off chunks of rust, then pressure washer with hot water. Looks way cleaner already

Definitely subscribing to see your progress!

For someone who doesn't consider themselves much of a mechanic, you are doing a lot of in-depth work and seems like a nice job of it as well. Keep it up!

Thanks! I wasn't ANY sort of a mechanic haha

But I just figured, how hard can it be? I definitely feel like a mechanic now.

Thanks it's been a lot of work. I'm slacking lately because it's too damn hot.
I'm not sure if it would work with the stock wheels, mine were 14 inch wheels. The 15-inch wheels I bought clear it with plenty of space though.

I can't really recommend it yet, because I haven't even gotten the truck back on the ground yet. I mainly bought this conversion kit because I didn't want to spend the time to try to source the Mustang parts for the Mustang brake swap

Hmm, flapper discs. I never considered those.

Anyway, at this point you might as well go all the way and tear the frame apart.

Shut up!! Haha no I'm in way too deep already. My original intention was to buy a beater truck and go... I've kind of gone off the deep end. But I'm over the hump now and hopefully not too much longer before I get it put back together. I've been slacking because it's been super hot here lately.

A few before and after pics of progress so far

New radius arm brackets

I just can't put it back on the truck rusty

I know all of these pictures are posted here already, but I couldn't believe side by side what a difference I've made

And this was last night
