so the next thing i want to do is cover my headliner with either a mossy oak or some kind of cool checkered flag material i have some questions...

1. does anyone have a pic of this done?

2. is it better to (with spray adhesive) glue the material on top of the factory material, or to remove the factory stuff and glue to the cardboard itself?

3. were do you find a couple yards of the material i want? i looked at walmart but all they has was some stupid digital camo i dont know were else i could look

They'll send you samples for a couple bucks shipped.

I tried with some thin stuff from ebay, did not go well. I was also up for over 30hours and had a pot of coffee in me.

I just got done doing mine with the RealTree pattern. I went to Joanne Fabrics and bought a coupe of yards that matched the seat covers perfect. I removed the old fabric and it only took a few minutes. I used 3M headliner adhesive and it turne out awesome. Now I am adding an Explorer overhead console while reinstalling. Good luck.

This. Exactly. I don't really have any pictures of it though... only ones with me in it, and I'm not fond of pimping out my ugly mug.

I got two yards of fabric and had some left over. I pulled it too tight though so sections "fell down". They didn't sag, they just came undone because I stretched it too much.

Just man the eff up and walk into JoAnne's. Forcefully lower your voice and make grunting sounds while within the JoAnne's walls. DO NOT ask for help. Be a man and find your material yourself. Call it a scavenger hunt or a junkyard hunt.

^ I knew you'd chime in eventually :thefinger:

They wouldn't help me when I went in, the aroura of my awesome manlieness confused and aroused all the old women in the store, putting them into a state of delirioum that caused them unable to help me. The lack of guidance caused me to rampage across the store, which resulted in the destruction of all the worthless pretty fabrics in my way until I found my prize.

Mossy oak breakup.

Or the one with squirrels, leaves, and sh!t on it. That one was kinda cool too.

I'm in the process of doing mine as well... in plaid like 83! I also plan on recovering the armrest from the 'Sploder console in the same stuff. Let's see pictures when you're done!

This has to be the greatest post of all time. Not only do I know what I'm going to do, but I am so amused I almost pissed myself.
