missing ranger

i just replaced mt fuel preesure regulator,it had gas in the vac line, it still missing at idol, what could that have caused to make it miss? 1989 ranger 2.9 4wd 5 spd........thanx for any info

Fuel fouled plugs. Pull them and check them. If they smell like gas, just get new ones. Its about $12 a set.
