As many of you know, a Maglite is an essential addition to every truck so let's see 'em!
I'll kick us off.

The main reason I'm posting this is that I kinda want to relocate mine but I don't know where to go with it...

There's so many more better options for a light than a maglite.

I keep a Jetbeam RRT2 in the truck, like this one:

Just imagine a black 2D LED maglight sitting on a tan BII Eddie Bauer bucket seat. I don't keep it in my truck but I do take it when I need it. I just don't have the room in my little standard cab to designate a mounting area for a Maglight. 98% of the time I am in my truck I have my faithful Streamlight Stylus Pro in my pocket anyway.

The Maglights are kinda bulky but it could double as a weapon itself... and it doesn't take yet ANOTHER freaky battery for me to stock. I do like mine for a good dependable flashlight with a ton of ompf to it.

I have a little NEBO flashlight I like to keep in my glovebox because it has so many features and it's freaky bright but it still isn't a mag... A Maglite is a man's flashlight! Plus, it doubles as a whacking stick if anybody messes with your truck ;)

1. LED all the way
2. Don't need a Maglite to wack someone when 45acp is an option
3. My go to light is a Rigid Halo Torch... and cheap "disposable" CREE Led's from amazon that are $4 a piece and brighter than Maglites.

Depends which maglite you buy :D

Ehh, I won't shoot em if they touch my truck... Just a few 'dents' from a blunt object. Plus... a 454 casull will leave a big mess when you're done -_-

Back in the late 80's, I use to have a rechargeable Streamlight in my truck with a charger. I also had a maglite and charger in my patrol car when I was a trooper. I need to find a light and charger for my truck, but I need to get over the fact I'm cheap.

Why use the maglite as a weapon when I have an ax. Or rifle/shotgun.

I like my Stylus pro as well. Also, my phone works well as a flashy light in a pinch. If I need to beat someone I have my fists.

i need to find a streamlight for work, i'd buy a couple if i could find them for a decent price. an aricraft mechanic friend of mine turned me on to them, they swear by them. also found out after the fact that my mom's husband carries one as well, he's an LEO.

Streamlights are the only way to go, more specifically the LED DS Stinger.

I have 2 of them, also an older xenon Stinger w/ the Lite Pipe conversion, and a Stylus Pro.

They beat a Mag light in every way, except billyclub duties.

I had one mounted on my (89-94)dash between the glove box and ashtray. Wasn't in the way of anything, had easy access, and was always charged up. I just screwed the single quick charger to the dash, and wired it into the truck's harness with a 5A fuse.

Because Aggravated Assault is a lesser charge than Attempted Murder maybe?
When you are in fear for your life it does not matter.

Attempted murder can still occur with a flashlight.

I love how this thread has gone from flashlights to attempted murder :D

If you're gonna shoot, shoot to kill - not to injure.
