havent been on in a while but i figured this is a good place to ask.

Ive been in the market for a small mig welder for a while now. i have a few small projects to do and I want to teach myself how to weld.

I found a Lincoln SP-125 plus mig welder. comes with 2 small argon tanks, 1 small co2 tank, and 5 spools of wire

Price: $200

Looking like a darn good deal to me, just want some second opinions before i take the plunge. Thanks!

The tanks are worth more than $200.00 as long as they are not leased. I'd say good deal as long as it works. Do a test weld with it, or take someone that knows how to weld with you.

Lincoln should be an ok welder. I have a Hobart 140 myself and really like it, I paid close to $500 for it with a cart. The Lincoln should be fairly comparable to what I have, just a bit lower amperage.

How old is it? If it's in pretty good condition I would say it's a good deal.

I paid $450 for a century which is a carry over Lincoln and $250 for a tank medium size gold gas.So it sounds like a great deal to me.
