Hello my name is Austin I’m 23 years old and have always been into fixing vehicles and solving problems. In my spare time I buy, fix, test, drive, and spiff up, rangers/ bronco 2’s and other vehicles but most those two. I have had the majority of the year rangers from 1987-2005 I’m only missing a couple I’d have to double check but I believe I’m doing my 15’th fix and drive ranger now with the intention to keep this one I’ve also had an 87 and 89 bronco II. I’m a new father and currently building a kid safe, car seat friendly, dust free, air conditioned trail rig out of an 89 bronco II obviously with the 2.9 and a 5 speed backing it up. Also I am fixing and planning on daily driving an 05 ranger xl with the 2.3 duratec and an auto. I buy most of my rigs in a non running and or driving state but always with issues. As many problems I find solutions to on these forums I somehow find myself with special problems I can’t find solutions to anywhere and I’d like to start sharing my experiences to help others and am to inpatient to make videos so I thought I’d try this route.

Welcome. Buying non-running is the best deals. I used to always do that too. 150-500 bucks and bring it home and normally it would start that afternoon.

I feel like you have come to the right place

Thanks! That’s the way I like to do it, these rigs have carried me and mine a lot of miles after someone else abandoned them.

Yeah...what they said!
I love this: "...obviously with the 2.9 and a 5 speed backing it up..."
👍

Although video isn't necessary, images are kinda nice (some of us can't read too good).
The pics do help identifying things though.

Welcome to TRS>

Wow! Looks brand new! you've been working very hard. Any chance you might want to sell an old BroncoII rear sway bar? I've been looking for one that is somewhere around 1" thick

For some odd reason, I really like that color scheme.

Dang! Someone sold that because it wasn't running? Double Dang!
Your improvements made a world of difference.

Nice find and nice work.

Welcome. I like seeing where someone buys a project and gets it back on the road. I too feel like I am the only one that gets that odd ball problem. I have had my fair share. You have done some great work.
