Hey all. I'm *sort of* a newb with Rangers (diehard Ford, however). I own an 88 XLT standard cab/long bed 5spd 4x4. Stole it for $300! Quickly fell in love with it before it blew the head gasket :\

Now, part way thru a turbo 2.3L swap. Considering some..."other"...upgrades.

Yeah, welcome to TRS...I was going to peak at this thread to see what you had turbo charged and now I'm glad I did...

Pics of the swap would have been nice...if you've been documenting it...people on here are pic and document freaks...lol

Well, it's pretty straightforward for the most part. The one thing I'm having trouble with is the heater box (mine had a/c). I'm so frustrated with it (and too lazy to pull the engine again) to remove it in favor of a non-a/c box, that I'll run w/o and that's my motivation for a SAS (keep in mind the part where I don't wanna mess with the heater box hahaha).

Truck is kind of a mess right now, anyway. It's about 3/4 finished and it's just resting in the engine bay with the wire harness half hooked up. Need to plumb the VAM, check/change fluids, and change the crank pulley to serpentine.

Btw, totally wrong part of the forum, but how does the crank pulley come off? Looks like its removed with a 2 or 3 jaw puller??
