Hey guys, I was thinking about picking up a Jet module for my 01 3.0.
I was curious if anyone has installed these and what kind of gains I should expect. With the module around 275.00, I ust want to meke sure it's worth the money, thanks!!!!

waste of money. a plug into the ecu and go chip is crap. might as well go and light the money on fire and piss on it

any local exhaust shop could do a setup for cheap. you can look on youtube for 3.0 clips. i would stay away from flowmaster jsut my 02 i think dynomax and hooker max flows are way better products. i put a glasspack wit ha side exit single tip on my brothers 2000 3.0 and it has a nice growl to it. still has the ricer sound in the upper revs however its kinda hard to get rid of that tone on a v6 unless you keep it quiet like dynomax ultraflow

I don't want to ruin either of you gentleman's day..
but unless the stock cat is plugged up, a catback isnt gonna help much. Before you go insulting me, do know I have a gibson system on mine. It does sound pretty nice, but its not going to give you real power gains. (Truck came that way..)
Its much like turbo cat said though...it sounds beautiful...but you rev that sucker way up and its close to being rice city...
The ironhead ohv 3.0 is just an anemic, reliable motor. It doesn't even flow enough in stock form to exceed the exhaust restrictions in a stock setup.

well if you do go with a hand held tuner or chip . i would look into SCT and see what they have for your application

i have both a gibson catback and jet performance module on my truck and i honestly think they were both worth the money, i would buy them again. its funny how everyone on this site (at least that i have noticed for the most part) thats tells you the chip and exhaust are crap dont have them their trucks. everyone i have talked to that has bought the jet performance module loves it, including me. no its not a huge difference, but definitely noticeable, the chip made more of a difference than the exhaust.

I know from past experiences with exhaust systems, if it isn't a V8, its gonig to be minimal at best as far as power gains, but it seems like it needs all the gains it can get.

I would chip last...intake and exhaust, electric fan and pulleys, followed by 1.7 roller rockers and headers is the way to make power in your 3.0...200hp is not hard to make. And that's before stroke and poke.
