So last night me and the wife met up at a friends house and after leaving and about to take off, the wifes jeep was cranking over but wasnt starting. so i got out of my rig went over to her and tried telling her to turn it off and then crank it to the on position just to were the lights turn on and then let it sit there for a second or two and then crank it...(NOTHING!)
So im not sure if it works the same for the newer vehicles or not so i had her do it again, but with a little change. I had her keep it in the on/aux position and pump the gas a few times. then crank it over...(nothing again)
So i went back to my car, got a flashlight. Had her pop the hood and i looked around to see if anything had come loose...NOTHING AGAIN.
So if the wife cant do it the man can right? ...so i got in the jeep. and repeated the second step...got in, turned the key to on/aux, pumped the gas a few times, kept the foot on the gas, and let that baby crank for a little bit...(at first nothing was happening and then all of a sudden she came alive with a screaming roar of the enigine and then back to idle.)
Jeep was acting as if nothing had bothered it ever....
Its a 2004 Jeep grand cherokee. 100K miles. battery is good(100%), altenator i believe is good!
IT HAS DONE THIS KIND OF IN THE PAST...REALLY ROUGH STARTS WHERE ILL KILL THE ENGINE, WAIT A SEC AND THEN START IT AGAIN AND ITS FINE, BUT NEVER SO BAD THAT I CANT START IT ALL TOGETHER.
ANY IDEAS GUYS? I GOTTA GET THIS FIXED ITS THE WIFES VEHICLE AND WELL...ITS GOTTA BE RELIABLE! AND ITS NOT.
