I have a 1994 Ranger and I need to know what years the fender flares are interchangeable with. I need just the rear flares and I can't find them anywhere. Will ones from an 04 fit? I know a lot of parts are interchangeable on rangers. Because I found a whole set from an 04 for cheap but I don't want to buy them if they won't fit.

If I were to guess, I would say they wont be a perfect fit, but they can be made to fit.

Just go to the Bushwacker web site and see what years will work. They list the years the flares fit.

I thought the question referred to factory flairs, not aftermarket ones....?

I believe that any Ranger from 93 to 97 are a direct fit in both looks and style/ fitment. 98+ will fit, but may look a bit different (texture/ color etc) and possibly might be a bit different in how they connect with the mudflaps, so the very rear edge might be shaped differently.

It does not matter what make of flares. The website specifies what years of Rangers the flares will fit. Stock flares and bushwacker flares will work on different years but at least I can go to the website and tell a buddy that my flares will work on his truck or not if he wants to buy a set fromt me. You don't buy a wrong set of flares and then try to bend them to fit your truck...really stupid looking since I do see this once in awhile....lol

Bushwackers website says their flares fit 93-11. So I would assume they will fit any years. I ended up picking up an entire set from an 04 for 50 bucks. I'll let you guys know how they fit. I like the shape of the 04+ fender flares anyway as opposed to the stock ones on the 93-97 so that's a plus.

I'll post some pictures after I put them on. Should be Sunday when I have time to do it.

Newer Rangers have the pocket style flares and I think they look really nice.

I wish I could find a set of new pocket style flares. The junkyard here has a truck with two good rears on it but the fronts are gone. And they are asking 75 a piece for them....

I got the whole set for 50 bucks so I settled for the 04+ non pocket style flares.

Heres an update. I put them on today and they fit almost perfect. The shape of where they meet the fender is identical. The only difference is the push clips that snap them into the fenders are in slightly different positions. Almost all of them line up except two of the push pins. I just removed them from the flares and used the rest of them and they hold on just fine. However, none of the holes that the stock 1/4 inch push pins go into in the inside of the fender well line up. I had to drill new holes all the way around the inside of the fender lip. No big deal to me but definitely worth mentioning to the people considering exchanging their flares for the new style. My bed on the truck came from a truck that did not have flares and I had to drill holes around the inside of the lip and into the quarter panel itself. I just marked them off and drilled. Came out pretty good I think.

Heres what it looked like when I got it

As you can see the bed was thrown on there from a different truck (dont know what happened to the original, he said it was rusted out). Also the cab corners were rotted out of course.

I cut out the cab corners and welded new ones in. Painted the bed to match the truck and removed the 90's pin striping, Then sprayed the rockers with a textured protective paint and hit the flares from an 04 with the same textured enamel.

Let me know what you think

Looks great!

I definantly like the lines of the modern flare on that truck.

Thanks me too! I think they flow much better being at bit bigger and not hugging the body line so closely.

Now I just need to track down a new front bumper....

Looks great!

Now what you need is a set of the premium mirrors to replace the flag style mirrors. I do like the newer style flares, will have to keep an eye out for a set for my truck.

What are premium mirrors? I might have to look into them!
