ok now we are getting somewhere. what is it exactly you are looking for. what issues are you having now? For a trail rider/expedition vehicle in a Super cab I would use a 6" lift that comes with brackets instead of drop plates and use extended radius arms..... extended back to the transmission along with a 6" drop pitman arm and an inverted K-link steering set up. for the back I would run 63" chevy 1/2 ton springs with 3" beltech shackles.

regardless you should be running an inverted K-link. for the price of Ball joints and wheel bearings you were ready to drop 2 to 3 grand into an SAS? Properly tuned your TTB will out perform the D30 SAS specially for a daily driver. get ahold of Junkie and he can help you with tuning your TTB, most low budget things that drastically improve the Handling of it.

I thought it was Super runner, might be super lift. it still needs modification, Ideally you want your axle beams level at ride height and you want your steering linkage identical to your beams.

there are ways to adjust that. you have mismatched coils and brackets. you either need bigger brackets or smaller coils. I am not sure witch jeep coils you would use, thats why you need to ask Junkie.

I am not sure on the jeep coils because I am going to do an explorer and I will be going a different direction. I am not opposed to an SAS but that axle you got is the wrong choice for a super cab

if its going into that 95 in your avatar then you don't have IFS, you have TTB...

TTB is IFS....

cushion,

I would go with EB springs or MAYBE Jeep ZJ springs.

That said, a D30 setup that has 3 grand put into it will still be slightly weaker than a stock Dana 35, and not flex any better than a D35 with a nice Skyjacker. I strongly recommend fixing and tuning your current 35. It's a damn good axle. I run 35s on mine locked and am not nice to it. The only thing I've ever broken was a joint or two, and that was do to binding as my steering was too extreme.

A D30 will run 33s fine, but I would keep your money and stick with the good axle you already have.

Either route you choose, I'm here to help.

TTB, while a form of IFS, is different, easier to work on and easier to lift.

That's it?? You want to swap the whole thing for that? :icon_confused:

If the wheel bearings are failing repeatedly, you're probably either overtorquing the preload on them, or using the wrong type of grease. What size & offset are your wheels?

U-joints... I'll need a little more elaboration here, what's happening to those? are they breaking? Wearing out? You using u-joints of decent quality?

And as for the steering, the longer drop pitman arm Skyjacker sells (pt# FA600) is a simple way to put your linkage completely back to original stock geometry, although unless you're having some issues with tire wear and/or handling problems, I probably wouldn't bother with that part yet.

And Junkie, you should know that editing quotes is the key to success for newsmen, PhD dissertations and attorneys. It's the whole point in Mark Twains "There's lies, damn lies and statistics." Serve it up how you want and use it for evidence.
ROFL Ahhh... so that's how they do it :icon_twisted: (you forgot politicians too)

Agreed, TTB is the easiest type of IFS to work on and lift (that I know of).

it is a hybrid of IFS and a straight axle.

my bet is his wheel offset it terrible, he is over tightening his bearings OR the little nipple is broken off the inner nut and its allowing the bearings to get all fawked up. i think you need to LEARN more about your ttb before you go junking it. i think i have 300-400 bucks into my 3 inch lift and i am running jeep coils. i only hit my radius arms because they are the crappy rancho radius arms. i will be fixing that over the winter by moving the mounts inward. now granted mine its a wheeling rig so i cut the inner fenders down to a minimum and did other things that are not visually pleasing. if you want to wheel learn how to fix your junk.
