I work for Dollar Rent-A-Car and we usually rent Dodge products. For the past 2 week's we've been getting 2 truck loads of vehicles a day (about 16 I think). All last week we got mostly Dodge Caliburs. We got a few 300's, Chargers, Jeep Commanders, Liberties and Nitro's and Durango's in. There was also 1 Ram 1500. Sunday we got a few Toyota Sienna's. Monday I wasn't there but evidently we got 3 truck loads of Chargers. Yesterday (Tuesday) I thought we were all done and we got a truckload of Dakota's and more Caliburs. Then right before I left for the day we got 2 E350's, 2 Grand Marquis and a Fusion. Evidently we stand to get a lot more Fusions and some Focus'. We've had a lot of Grand Marquis before and a few Mustangs. I was talking to the Fleet Manager and he said he wants to Diversify the Fleet. Not all of our customer's like Dodge and he wants to play with a few Fords, Mazda's, Nissan's and possibly Toyota's and GM. Maybe we might get some nice vehicles in for once.

I dunno about the Vipers since they're not in mass production anymore. We're probably gonna carry the Challengers when they come out, probably v6. There some test markets (LA and Miami) that have H2's, Corvettes, BMW's, Mercadies, and Bentlies. A lot of those cars you HAVE to take insurance to rent them and be over like 32 I think. There was a GT convertable Mustang around for a while (came from LA).

We rented a 300 from Dollar when we went to Vegas over the thanksgiving weekend. The guy said our plan wasn't for a hemi but he gave us one anyway.

:icon_twisted:

Your manager was right, not all your customers like dodge! I was very dissapointed to see that they rented 95% chrysler products, but I was happy to at least get a hemi 300.

Toonces drives a Ranger . . . . just not very well.
Looks like those hemis burn a lot of oil, ZMan. I mean, you wouldn't abuse a rental car, would you? . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Hehe, you guys would love the rent-a-dent I had in New Zealand.

A 1.0L Toyota Starlet (right hand drive) superduperminicompact, in oh-so-beautiful lime green with a light blue interior. I think the guy who put that color scheme together was colorblind....

It was a 1997. A few months ago.

At least it was VERY cheap. NZ$150/week (barely US$100), with one way dropoff (Auckland -> Wellington). And all NZ prices include taxes and fees.

It did nicer than one would expect; do keep in mind that "highways" in New Zealand abuse the term and it's next to impossible to drive anywhere faster than 100 km/h. Though the locals do like to drive big Chrysler SUVs, especially Jeeps.

Isn't the word Foci?

:icon_confused:
I was never good in English class. I'm like the poster child for a bad education. The 300 C's are pretty nice. But after a few thousand miles they tend to get trashed. Had a customer rent a brand new car once (left with 3 miles) and when she returned the car there was cigarette and weed burns in the seats. There was trash everywhere and used condoms in the back seat. I think she ended up being charged a pretty nice cleaning fee. Just wish I had gotten paid the cleaning fee.
