Was all pumped when I found an optional gauge cluster with the tach.
I like to see my rpms, esp when pulling my bike trailer, up hills, etc.
Well, of course, I never thought of it being a V6 tach.
It registers, but of course 1/3rd low.
Some tach's I've seen have a simple selector switch on the back,
but I guess this isn't the case.
I searched and found a thread about deleting a ground connection to
go from a V6 to a 4 cyl, but I don't have the wiring diagram yet that
I just bought.
I do have an oem wiring troubleshooting book - found a diagram that gives
the wire color and circuit number for the ground for the V6 tach, and
it says "not used" for a 4 cyl.
Being my vehicle is an original 4 cyl, would I have that wire in the harness?
And if I do, can I just clip it or otherwise break the ground connection?
If I do, I suppose it's in one of the 2 plugs in the back of the gauge cluster?
If it doesn't work that way, what can I do? Gotta be a way!
Thanks!
