i dont know what forum to stick this in so if it needs to be moved my apologies, anyways, i was toying around with the idea of sticking a fuel cell into the stock location for the gas tank, is it worth it? is it doable? i do not know how the fuel pumps are arranged on an explorer, in tank or in line, i am not set on doing this, just thought about it when i was under there this morning....thoughts? opinions?

Few Q's:

Is your current tank junk (leakin or sendin unit or )??

You will need the cell with sender that is meant to be used with your current fuel level gauge, then a new electric in-line fuel pump and regulator.

Hope this helps!

andi think he means he wants to run dual tanks like the broncos and older F-150s.

What causes you to want to do this?

I've got a Jegs unit mounted in the back of my Exploder. But that's from the PO because the doubler increased the rear ds angle causing clearance issues and any place else under it spelled bad news with rocks. I don't have the proper sending unit so no fuel gauge.
