How can I tell what engine I have?

There is what looks like the same port in the block on the other side. Can I use that one? It would free up some space where I need it if I could.

my concern is that the thread tap size is too small 4 the stock sender..also you meed to be careful what you put near the exhaust manifold you choose

Thanks John, for your help. I need to take more pics. I think my block has the same opening on the other side of the block as the first pic you put up . I'm probably wrong.
Looking closely at the first pic, I noticed you have the same distributor I have.
It looks like the easiest one for me to wire to my MSD box to.
It's exciting for me to be at this point!
