I got an email from the seller today responding to my inqury. He says the only rust on the truck is on the bottom of the tailgate and a little bit in the cab corner. Not sure on the underside though. :dunno:

Looks like a nice truck.

Definitely check the frame and spring hangers/ shackles tho.. My 97's hangers rotted through last year. my truck is pretty identical to that one, I just don't have the "Sport" package. Also look over the cab corners real well.

Well, I received some additional pics of the Ranger from the seller via Email and from what I saw, the Ranger is in pretty good shape! The interior is super clean and the rust is not near as bad as I was fearing, only a few little bubbles on the passenger side cab corner and on the bottom of the tailgate. He can't get any underside pictures until Monday, so we shall see.

The price is gonna hanging on those under side pictures A 19 yr old IL truck should be inspected quite closely underneath. Oily leaks have an upside. :D

My only real concern with the Ranger is that its going to be a complete money pit. I have no problem replacing/fixing things, but within reason. Once the remainder of the pictures come in, I can make a more informed decision. I'd go take a look at it myself, but its a few hours away from me, so I'd hate to waste the gas.
