measure the width of the new head unit, if you leave a little bit of the top and bottom tab it should hold it in. All you will have to do is make and extender to hold the stock piece that slide onto the rail on the bottom. I hope that makes sense. I don't have any pics, but it's the triangular piece that hooks to the bottom of the stock head unit.

no it will fit but its super close, and you dont need the trim part that came with the HU

ooops for some reason the first part of my post didn't show up. I meant to start with, "I installed mine without the double din kit". I guess my brain was working faster than my fingers.

Yes it does. I have been beating around the wild streets of Washington DC with no problems so far. Doubt I'll be doing any off-roading anytime soon.
