Help purchasing, what do you guys think about this ranger?

...the bed was rusted away behind the cab and it had a blown brake line w/brake light on. I didnt even bother taking it to my mechanic.

the gold one with the cap was rusted out? or a different one?

Gold one with caps bed was rusted out where the bed meets the cab and the wheel wells were rusty under the covers. And the brakes went straight to the floor.

too bad no good rangers available but you were probably not the only one in the market for
a rust free truck.... so they likely go quick if in good shape. that dealer with the gold one had
some crazy idea about price for that condition. i presume i could not get anywhere near 6K for
mine around here and at least the brakes work lol !

Sounds like a typical used car dealer... don't care that they're selling a deathtrap as long as the cash rolls in.

The Colorados are kinda growing on me. Post some pics.

I had an 08 colorado. Definatly not as tough as the 1st gen rangers i was used to, but decent just the same

Unfourtantly no carb. Did have manual windows though, and a manual trans.

5 cylinder or 4? I test drove the 5 when i bought mine, but the power difference was minimial and the MPG difference was pretty significant IIRC.

I think with an auto though it was the other way around. Mine was a base model 2wd W/T.

There fun little trucks. I miss mine from time to time
