Just to say hello

I have just bought a new UK ranger Thunder and love it .

Don’t know much about the difference between UK and USA trucks but hoping to add some custom bits and make it more individual compared to the rest of the UK trucks

Welcome to TRS my friend! Grab a pint from the fridge, pull up a chair, and watch for low-flying BS!

We welcome any new prospectives and ideas you may have.

Maybe Jim could add a section on the "World Ranger" with your help.

Nice color! I wish they offered it on US Rangers.

But the steering wheel's on the wrong side.

Thanks it’s probably the best colour they do over here

I am in the process of ordering an Alpha fullbox for the back which is going to take about 12 weeks as it is a special order picks will be uploaded

Here is a bit more about the spec

Here are some of the standard bits that come on the model I have got, In dash 6 CD player with MP3 support and Aux imput for Ipod, AC, Heated Front Leather seats, Leather back seats steering wheel on the right side!!!!

2.5 Turbo Diesel 145psi not quit as powerful as some of the petrol engines you guy’s have in the US but not to bad for the UK

2 Wheel High or 4x4 Wheel high and low Drive selector and that’s about it

Had it a week now and absolutely love it

It's a cool looking rig! What's 145 psi equate to in good ole' bhp?

Besides, with trucks, it's not the power, it's the torque. Is it backed by a stick or a slushbox? If it's a stick, good choice!

Is this your first Ranger?

Its a stick shift

PSi Is about the same just a stupid European way of saying BHP so it is 145bhp and about 330 Nm of torque.

Not bad. I did a quick conversion and 330 Nm is about 245 lb-ft.

That ain't bad. Especially when my '94 (4-banger gas) is rated from the factory with 100 bhp and about 130 lb-ft. I'd do the swap into my truck.

BTW, thanks for joining us. It's always good to have a new prospective from the "other side of the road!"
