I recently purchased a 2002 Ranger pickup from my nephew. When I was washing it I noticed the front passenger side headlight was loose on the Grill side.
I looked under the hood and there seems to be a nut missing on the stud that holds the grille side of the headlight assembly in place. The slide is there and the stud is there but no nut.
Can anyone tell me what they are called? Is it available from the Ford part store? Is there another source for this part.
I know it is a minor issue and the fender side is secure but I would like to fix it.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Take one of the other nuts off, and take it to ford, and they should be able to tell you what it is... and then if its expensive (which it probably is), then take it to a hardware store...

No nuts holding the light in. There should be a plastic piece on that adjustment stud that sticks through the radiator support and there is a long metal clip that slides down from the top to lock it in place. Look at the other side for comparison, hopefully it is ok and you'll see what I mean.

Yes I compared it to the other side and I see the plastic piece. It looks like a plastic nut of some sort. It must pull out with the headlight assembly after you slide the clips up.
I will check with Ford parts on it.
