I was wondering, what would be the best to go about converting the wiring for headlights of an 88 ranger to the 05 style headlights?

i don't follow you completely... but wiring wise, for headlights, the most difference you're going to have is the connector... you'll have, even at the most extreme cases, 2 sets of wiring to each side (for dual bulb setups) which would be a pair of low beam and ground, and a pair of high beam and ground...

afaik, all rangers have gone with a 1 bulb setup, which means that you have 3 conductors for each headlight bulb, and the only wiring issue would be changing the connector to the modern connector... i do not know what you've got right now, but i believe the current model is 9006 lights

Ok, I bought an 05 fiberglass conversion front end so I am going to buy some projectors to fit. Right now the whole headlight gets replaced when it goes out and it has a connector that the 3 prongs on the back of the headlight go into. So it should be as easy and just snipping the connector ends and swapping over?
