Driving the E 150 Van down a 4 lane highway, in the left center lane, going about 70 MPH. Comming up to a semi doing about 65 MPH in the right center lane. I was about 50 feet behind him when what looked like a canned ham flew out from under the semi and right for the van. At that speed I thought it would be better to hang on and not try to avoid it. Of course it hit the van. I took a look and saw it hit the pitman arm right at the drag link. Bent the drag link and the shaft attaching it to the pitman arm. Not even safe from dead pigs. Don't know where it came from, I know it was not from the semi as it came out from under it.

Hmmm, I heard of a band called Canned Heat, but not one called Canned Ham....lol. I am glad it did not hurt anybody. It could have fallen out on the road from a pickup truck with groceries in the bed or a motorcycle carrying groceries? Maybe somebody tossed it at a tailgater? That is so bizarre, Bro!!

You made a good choice it's easy to fix a car when you are uninjured. The ham could have been set down on the truck some where and forgot about till it fell off.
