Bought this long block based on secondhand referral from a buddy and saw these reviews after. Assembled accessories and filled with joe Gibbs break in oil prior to priming. Spun the oil pump the wrong way for a minute then corrected myself and it pumped oil fine so I proceeded to turn it over no more than 4 times in increments letting the oil flow through the motor. Pulled dipstick and it looks glittery. Ran a magnet over it and picked up some but not all shiny flakes. Have not started this motor - just filled, primed, and turned over a few times by hand. Is this uncleared buildup from the reman process? Did I introduce metal when spinning the oil pump the wrong way dry? What next?
