Hello all,
Forgive me if this has been asked.
I bought my '83 ranger with the original fuel pump (mechanical) removed and a cheap electric pump installed along the frame.
This pump is now toast, so now my question is, do I revert it back to the original mechanical pump setup? Are these pumps unreliable, hence the swap to electric?
Or should I replace it with another electronic pump? And if so, which brand/setup do you all recommend?
Just some specs, I have an 2wd 83 single cab, single tank, duraspark swapped 2.8l with a autolite 2100 carb and a 4 speed transmission.
Thanks in advance for your input.
