I have a 99 ranger I'm working on the shocks are completely blown i found some good used ones at the salvage. But they are in a 4 banger and mine is a v6 will 5.0 in the making. My question is with the 4 cylinder shocks hold up to the 5.0

[emoji52] I don't think they will if used . I just finished my 5.0 efi swap and the extra 100 or so pounds over the stock 4.0 engine has made it come down around 1 inch . Trans may weight more also since mine is aode . I have djm drop shocks on it right now and looking for a better shock .

coils or torsion bars? they are different lengths. 2wd right?

FYI, coil IFS rangers can use front Crown Vic shocks with minor tweaking of the lower cross pin.

98.
the lower cross pin bolts are a slightly different width, I made a slight adjustment of where the bolt holes are, or size, or something. can't recall exactly what I did, but it was easy.
