Instead of fixing the problem we update the software so it will notify the customer their car is about to catch on fire……

Nice……

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

And install a gutter and drain line to direct the leaking fuel onto the ground.

Yup. Nothing but the best environmentally friendly solutions here.

I was wondering if this was a satire site, but it looks to be legit. How sad...

did they not learn from the PR disaster of not adding a 7 dollar fix to keep the PInto from exploding in a rear end collision?

SMH...

These engineers weren't even born when that happened.

for both cases, I am pretty sure it is not the engineers that were to blame. And while a good generation is between the Pinto and the Escape/ Bronco Sport, the guilty party has the same issue: contol costs even if a few people die from it. that would go on the accountants and senior management to make those decisions, then they tell the engineers to come up with a solution that fits in this cost budget.... And here we are...

What is a "Pinto"?
A type of horse. Just like a mustang and bronco. not to be confused with a maverick which is a steer/ cow.

anything else I can help you with in animal identification :p

Neither, it was the rooster.

Glad I could help.
